Their eco-friendly mattress was also recently reviewed on, a blog that has worked with companies such as JCPenny, La-Z-Boy, and Lucky Magazine. In her review "Greener Sleep with Saatva Luxury Mattresses", HiLesha O'Nan notes Saatva's eco-friendly materials and strong green initiative.

Saatva uses "the finest eco-friendly materials for luxurious, yet healthy mattresses. Their luxury mattresses are made of organic cotton that are blended with hypo-allergenic luxury at its finest!," HiLesha O'Nan is quoted.

Saatva has taken a strong green stance and initative since they started business in 2010. According to Ron Rudzin, CEO of Saatva, they have "built a national company while maintaining a very low carbon footprint, in an industry that generally lends no hand to that cause."

The virtually paperless mattress company uses CertiPUR-US certified foams that are supplied by United States company Future Foam. Their Harvest line of foams are never processed with chemicals such as formaldehyde and are certified to met environmental, health and safety standards.

In addition to providing a safe, bio-based foam, Saatva constructs their inner springs from recycled steel rods and covers their outer covering with organic cotton. Before delivering to customers, Saatva packages their mattresses in a special plastic to prevent foreign particles from entering.
