Colorado State University and rSmart Host Webinar for Kuali Financial System Implementation

rSmart, the provider of enterprise support for open source application software in education, today announced it will be hosting a webinar with Colorado State University (CSU) to share its experiences and results with implementing and running the open source Kuali Financial System. rSmart provided implementation services for CSU and helped the institution meet its “go live” deadline of July 1, 2009, four months before the official release of KFS. CSU has been running Kuali as its sole financial system for three quarters and its switch to open source saved the institution millions of dollars in licensing and implementation fees. The webinar will be held on March 17, 2010 at 11:00 am PDT. For more information or to register, visit:

“We are pleased to partner with rSmart for this webinar and to share our experiences about implementing and using the Kuali Financial System,” noted Lynn Johnson, Associate Vice President of Budgets and Finance at CSU. “The switch from our previous financial system to Kuali had numerous challenges that would have been very difficult to meet without the support of rSmart and the Kuali Community.”
